The Evolute plant in the Lipetsk region has switched to SKD assembly with welding and painting of bodies under SPIC 2.0 and an in-depth localization program. The company is starting production of updated Evolute i-Space hybrid crossovers in five- and seven-seater versions.
The new stage uses Russian paints, varnishes, sealants, filling fluids, telemetry and GLONASS units. In December, the plant will introduce 12 V batteries, tires and wheels from domestic manufacturers.
Next, body electronics units, glass, interior elements will be added, and then ABS and ESP systems, a traction battery, charging equipment and drive electric motors of Russian production.
By 2032, Evolute plans to reach 5,500 localization points, which will make most of the components completely Russian.
The plant is preparing to reach its design capacity and become one of the key employers in the region. More than 700 employees are already working, with over 2,000 jobs in the future.
