In January–November 2025, 143.8 thousand new passenger cars were imported to Russia via alternative import schemes, which is 14% less than the year before. However, the end of autumn showed unexpected activity: over 32 thousand cars were imported in November, which became the maximum monthly result for the year. Private individuals imported even more cars than official distributors, who registered only 23.8 thousand.
The most popular brand within the framework of alternative imports remains Toyota: 25.6 thousand cars were imported during the year, which is 34% more than last year's level. BMW is also demonstrating high growth - plus 31% and 15.2 thousand cars. But Geely's figures fell by 35% (15.5 thousand), and Lixiang decreased immediately by 57%, to 9.2 thousand. The top five also includes Mercedes-Benz, which increased the volume of deliveries by 25% to 8.56 thousand cars.
The top ten alternative imports also include Volkswagen (6.9 thousand), Mazda (6.1 thousand), Kia (5.4 thousand), Lexus (4.3 thousand) and Audi (4.2 thousand). According to the results of the last four years, the total volume of new cars imported under alternative schemes has come close to 600 thousand units, confirming the steady demand for parallel deliveries.
