Toyota has unveiled a new supercar called the GR GT. It is the most powerful road-going production car to ever wear the Toyota emblem.
The price of the model has not yet been disclosed, but the first deliveries to customers are scheduled for 2027. The exact technical specifications are not yet known, as the Toyota GR GT is still under development.
However, Toyota did reveal what's under the hood, the car will be equipped with a new 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with an eight-speed dry-sump transmission.
An electric motor is integrated into the transmission housing, and the drive is rear-wheel drive. Toyota claims that the GR GT's powertrain will be able to develop at least 650 hp (850 Nm), and the top speed will exceed 320 km/h.
