UAZ Postpones Start of Sales for New "Patriot"

The SUV will not appear on roads until 2026

The updated UAZ "Patriot" will be released later than expected. The start of sales has been postponed to the third quarter of 2026, according to Alexey Spirin, General Director of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

It is known that the SUV will receive an engine from Sollers Argo — a 2-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 130 hp, combined with a new 6-speed manual transmission. This tandem should make the "Patriot" more reliable and economical in everyday use.

The model stands out externally with new LED headlights. Inside, there will be a new steering wheel, modernized central tunnel and instruments.

The manufacturer is focusing on a more modern and comfortable interior, while maintaining the classic SUV layout.

It should be noted that Spirin initially announced UAZ's plans to release a new model by the end of 2025.
