The head of the state corporation held a personal meeting with the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, and was convinced of the financial well-being of the enterprise.
In general, he said that they are still ending the year with a profit, although the situation was very difficult.
Chemezov clarified that it is very difficult to compete with companies from China due to their state subsidies.
Therefore, the price, of course, is not competitive with us.
Prior to that, Sokolov stated that AvtoVAZwill reduce Lada production to 325 thousand units by the end of 2025 due to the market situation. For comparison, in 2024, AvtoVAZ produced almost 525.6 thousand cars.
