The Chinese crossover Jaecoo J7 may start production in Russia at two plants in St. Petersburg at once. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Chinese cars".
The model is currently undergoing certification at the former Hyundai factory in Sestroretsk and at the former General Motors plant in Shushary. This follows from the declarations of conformity, which are necessary for the registration of the vehicle type approval (OTTS).
According to preliminary information, Jaecoo J7 will be certified in Russia, including under the alternative brand Jeland, the crossover may receive the VT7 index.
Jaecoo J7 is a compact crossover based on the modular T1X architecture and externally resembles the Range Rover Evoque. The length of the model is 4500-4600 mm, depending on the modification. The price range of J7 2025 model year modifications is 2.76–3.51 million rubles.
