Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has confirmed the release of several updated models at once in 2026. According to the UAZ press service, by the end of the third quarter, cars of the new model range (NMR) - "Patriot", "Pickup" and "Profi" in a modernized version - will appear on the Russian market.
The key change will be the expansion of power plants. The updated models will receive a diesel engine in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox, as well as a ZMZ Pro gasoline engine operating with a new transmission. It is expected that the update will increase the traction characteristics and adaptation of cars to commercial operation and off-road.
Earlier, UAZ also allowed the production of limited series of SUVs and special modifications, but the company clarified that such projects would be considered no earlier than the end of 2026.
Against the background of announcements of new products, the plant is recording a decrease in sales. According to the results of November 2025, 1459 new UAZ cars were sold in Russia - 23% less than in October, and 46% lower than the figure a year earlier. The company expects that the update of the model range will stabilize demand in 2026.
