Owners of new Lada Vesta and Lada Granta are experiencing problems with traction, jerks during acceleration, increased fuel consumption and extraneous noises even at low mileage. According to Mash, the source of the malfunctions is budget components - injectors, timing belts and elements of the throttle system.
According to motorists, EFI injectors are unstable. They supply fuel with errors and poorly atomize the mixture, which causes the engine to lose efficiency even on new cars. The engine reacts with a delay, there are kicks and dips during acceleration, and fuel consumption increases noticeably.
Individual claims from owners are addressed to HOLA timing belts, which are installed on modern 16-valve versions of Vesta and Granta. After a few thousand kilometers, the belts begin to whistle and make noise, and signs of accelerated wear appear long before the scheduled replacement.
Also, car owners complain about the unstable operation of the throttle system. Idle speeds fluctuate, the accelerator pedal response is delayed, which reduces comfort and increases the risk of dangerous situations in traffic.
In order not to bring the matter to serious breakdowns, many owners immediately change the factory parts. They buy better quality analogues and repair cars on their own, trying to avoid large expenses in car services and unscheduled downtime.
