The Chinese company BAIC has introduced an updated version of the BJ40 SUV. This refers to the Explorer modification, the official presentation of which is scheduled for January 15, 2026.
The main changes affected the interior. The BJ40 received a completely redesigned interior with an emphasis on digital technology. A 15.6-inch multimedia system screen was installed in the center of the front panel.
The manufacturer offers two design options - black and gray and black and brown. At the same time, BAIC retained the physical control buttons, which is important for off-road use.
The driver's seat is equipped with electric adjustments in six directions. The interior layout is focused on combining off-road tasks and everyday comfort.
The technical part remained the same. The BJ40 is equipped with two 2.0-liter engines. The gasoline engine develops 245 hp, the diesel engine - 163 hp. Both units work in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
BAIC BJ40 is officially present on the Russian market. These SUVs are assembled in Kaliningrad, which makes the model update especially relevant for buyers in Russia.
