AvtoVAZ has returned to a five-day work week after the New Year holidays. The company has stopped testing the four-day schedule, which had been in effect since September 29, 2025.
The order to return to the standard work week was signed by the company's president, Maxim Sokolov, in early December.
The decision is related to the production plan for 2026 - AvtoVAZ intends to produce 400,000 cars.
To achieve this goal, it is necessary to increase working hours and return to the usual schedule in order to meet deadlines and ensure stable production.
In addition, the company is preparing to launch new models. In 2026, production of the flagship crossover Lada Azimut will begin.
The Niva Legend SUV will receive a new 1.8-liter engine, and the Lada Vesta model will be released in a Sport modification. Returning to a five-day week will speed up preparations for the release of new products and maintain the plant's modernization plan.
