A series of breakdowns have been recorded in Russia in premium hybrid Zeekr 9X crossovers, which have been actively purchased by wealthy motorists in recent months. In cars with mileage from 8,000 to 10,000 km, the rear motor-reducer housing cracks, which leads to loss of tightness and the risk of the unit failing.
In the first three weeks of January 2026, more than ten similar cases were identified in Russia. The breakdowns are probably related to a structural miscalculation — an insufficient number of reducer mounting points. Increased loads during operation lead to cracks in the unit housing.
Additional difficulties are created by the unofficial import of cars. Zeekr deliveries to Russia are carried out through parallel imports, so owners are deprived of a full factory warranty. Free repairs in official service centers are not available.
Car services offer two options for restoration. For a complete replacement of the rear motor-reducer, you will have to pay around 750 thousand rubles. A cheaper way is to weld cracks for 50 thousand rubles, but experts consider this a temporary solution and do not recommend it for long-term operation.
Similar malfunctions are also recorded in the Chinese market. However, the manufacturer has not yet announced a recall campaign and has not commented on the situation. Russian sellers advise buyers to take out extended insurance, compensating for the lack of warranty, and also to strengthen the units before handing over the car to customers.
