Experts have calculated the cost of owning a Lada Iskra sedan and found out how much the operation of the new car will cost in everyday life. As an example, they took the Comfort version with a 1.6-liter 8-valve engine with a capacity of 90 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, the minimum price of which is 1,277,000 rubles. The calculations were carried out for the Samara region with a five-year ownership period and a mileage of 100 thousand km.
During this period, the owner's total expenses will amount to about 1,383,000 rubles. On average, this is equivalent to 23 thousand rubles per month, and one kilometer of mileage will cost 13.8 rubles. The most expensive item, as expected, was gasoline - fuel will cost 555,700 rubles, or approximately 40% of all expenses. Another 30% is accounted for by the loss of the car's value, which is estimated at 408,600 rubles over five years.
The remaining costs are related to OSAGO and KASKO insurance, transport tax, maintenance and the purchase of tires. At the same time, the cost of ownership significantly depends on the region. In Tatarstan, operating a Lada Iskra will cost approximately 22 thousand rubles per month, while in the Krasnodar Territory and St. Petersburg, expenses will exceed 24 thousand. In Moscow and a number of large regions, the figure fits into the range of 22–23 thousand rubles.
