At the end of 2025, 130.4 thousand new passenger cars of premium brands were sold in the country, which is 16.4% less than a year earlier. These data are provided by analysts at the Avtostat agency with reference to statistics from AO "PPK". The decline turned out to be comparable to the dynamics of the entire car market, which shrank by 15.6% over the year.
Despite the decline in absolute figures, the share of premium cars remained virtually unchanged. If in 2024 it amounted to 9.9%, then at the end of 2025 it was 9.8%. Experts note that this indicates sustained interest in expensive models even against the backdrop of an overall cooling of demand and falling sales.
Exeed remained the leader of the premium segment by sales volume, although its result fell by 47% to 21.7 thousand vehicles. Second place went to Tank with 18.6 thousand cars sold and a decline of 35%.
BMW took third place, increasing sales by 42% to 16.7 thousand units despite the absence of official deliveries. Lixiang and Hongqi also made it into the top five, with the latter showing growth of 40%.
