GAZ gains access to the Saudi Arabian market

The company is considering launching large-node assembly if demand is stable

GAZ Group has certified its light commercial vehicles (LCV) in the Saudi Arabian market and, if demand is stable, may launch large-node assembly in the country. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov on the sidelines of the Innoprom. Saudi Arabia exhibition.

According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, GAZ vehicles have already received all the necessary permits to enter the Saudi market. The next step could be the organization of assembly production if sales show a stable result.

GAZ has already certified its light commercial vehicles here in the Saudi market. If the cars find their demand, then they are considering, among other things, the issue of starting large-node assembly in order to enter both the Saudi market and the markets of neighboring countries.

The Minister also noted that KamAZ is also showing interest in the Saudi Arabian market, and is considering the possibility of expanding the presence of its products in the region.
