The new Omoda crossover passed the cat test

The Chinese brand demonstrated the sound insulation of the Omoda 7 by placing meowing animals on the roof and hood of the car

Omoda staged an unusual demonstration of the sound insulation of the new Omoda 7 crossover. Instead of standard videos with dynamic driving, the brand opted for atmosphere and visual imagery, involving animals in the campaign.

The model's British premiere for the general public took place in February as part of London Fashion Week. The promotion is being carried out under the slogan "I’m Not a Supermodel, But This Car Is," featuring model Denise Onona, known for her resemblance to Kate Moss. However, the greatest attention was drawn by a series of events dedicated to individual characteristics of the car.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of the sound insulation and special sound-absorbing glass, marketers placed dozens of cats on the roof and hood of the car. The animals climbed over the body and meowed loudly outside. At the same time, according to the campaign's concept, silence was maintained inside the cabin.

Carscoops noted that ordinary car windows could also have been suitable for muffling cat sounds. Nevertheless, the publication's authors acknowledged that the advertising stunt was successful in terms of attracting attention.
