Given the high cost of powerful pickups like the RAM TRX, budget alternatives remain rare. However, the Henan Seabiscuit offers an unusual format – it's formally a golf cart with a RAM TRX-inspired design and a range of about 48 km, approved for public roads.
The model attracts attention with its price of $3900. This is less than the cost of a set of wheels for a full-size pickup. Yet, its features go beyond its segment: power windows, central locking, a digital dashboard, Bluetooth, and air conditioning.
The body is made of fiberglass and styled after the RAM TRX: a massive front end, extended wheel arches, and an imitation cargo bed. The interior is simpler but retains some design elements.
The Henan Seabiscuit is equipped with a 3 kW electric motor driving the rear wheels. Its top speed reaches about 48 km/h, with a range of up to 48 km.
In essence, the Henan Seabiscuit reflects a trend towards simplified electric solutions for short trips, where price remains the key factor.
