Brabus Released a "Batmobile" with a V12, Challenging the Entire Electric Vehicle Era

The new Bodo features a 1000-hp twin-turbo V12, an SUV-length body, and Maybach Exelero-inspired design

The German atelier Brabus unveiled one of the most extravagant cars of recent years — the Brabus Bodo. It's a massive two-door Hyper-GT with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing around 1000 hp, created in honor of the company's founder, Bodo Buschmann.

The main thing here is the proportions. The car's length reaches 5 meters, comparable to large SUVs, but its height is only about 1.27 meters. The enormous hood, elongated boat-tail rear, and almost endless silhouette make the Bodo look like a modern version of the Maybach Exelero or a superhero's car from comic books.

It is based on the current Aston Martin Vanquish, but Brabus has almost completely redesigned the body, aerodynamics, and engine. The V12 delivers about 1200 Nm of torque, accelerates the coupe to 100 km/h in approximately 3 seconds, and allows it to reach speeds of up to 360 km/h. All this power goes only to the rear wheels — without a hybrid system or electric assistance.

Brabus is increasingly transforming from a tuning atelier into a full-fledged coachbuilder. The Bodo is no longer just a modified Mercedes-AMG, but essentially an independent ultra-exclusive car. Only 77 units will be produced — in honor of the company's founding year, 1977.

Against the backdrop of the industry's mass transition to hybrids and battery platforms, the appearance of such a V12 monster seems almost defiant. Brabus is clearly betting not on eco-friendliness, but on emotion, rarity, and theatricality — things that are becoming increasingly scarce in the modern automotive industry.
