The Dubai Police has added a new model to its famous fleet – the Denza B8 plug-in hybrid. In China, this SUV is known as the Fangchengbao Bao 8, and in the UAE police, it will become the second generation of Ghiath intelligent patrol vehicles.

Unlike the usual Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and other exotic models, the new car was not chosen for its image. The police emphasize that the main task of the Denza B8 is to increase the efficiency of patrolling through modern digital technologies, including artificial intelligence systems, and to reduce response times to incidents.

The SUV is built on a body-on-frame platform and is equipped with BYD's proprietary DMO Super Hybrid system. It combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and two electric motors, developing up to 738 hp and 760 Nm of torque. Despite its impressive size, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, which is comparable to many sports models.

The new patrol car received the signature white and green livery of the Dubai Police, LED flashing lights in the radiator grille and on the roof, as well as specialized equipment for performing official duties.
