China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) prematurely revealed the specifications of the new Denza Z9S electric sedan. The publication in the certification database traditionally means that the official debut of the model will take place in the near future.

The new model is built on a platform with a 3025 mm wheelbase and has a body length of 5090 mm with a width of 1980 mm. Unlike the Denza Z9 GT, which is a liftback, the Z9S will offer a classic three-box body, designed for buyers of premium business sedans.

According to MIIT documents, the model will be available in two electric modifications. The basic version is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a power of 320 kW (435 hp), while the more powerful version features a unit with a peak output of 370 kW (496 hp). The maximum speed of both versions is limited to 250 km/h.

Both modifications use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries manufactured by BYD and FinDreams. This type of battery is characterized by high durability, thermal stability, and lower cost compared to nickel-containing counterparts, which helps keep the car's price competitive.

Standard equipment includes a panoramic glass roof and an event data recorder (EDR) system. Options include an active electric rear spoiler, hidden door handles, various exterior mirror housing options, sports wheels, and painted brake calipers.

The appearance of the Z9S coincided with the growth in sales of the Denza brand. In June 2026, the company sold 18,631 vehicles, which is 19.3% more than the previous month and 31.1% higher than the result of June last year. The new sedan should strengthen the brand's position in the premium electric vehicle segment.
