Starting July 27, AvtoVAZ officially began its annual unified corporate vacation. The company's production lines will be shut down until August 16, with the main volume of work during this period focused on equipment modernization and maintenance.
During the three-week pause, specialists responsible for repair, maintenance, and re-tuning of production complexes will continue to work at the plant. The company traditionally uses such shutdowns to carry out large-scale work that cannot be performed without halting car production.
This year's program is particularly intensive. A total of over 13,000 activities are planned, amounting to approximately 80,000 man-days. More than 370 million rubles have been allocated for their implementation.
One of the key tasks will be to prepare the production lines for the start of serial production of the new Lada Azimut crossover, scheduled for September. In addition, the company will continue to modernize equipment for mastering the production of Lada Granta with a Chinese WLY (WanLiYang) variator, which is expected to launch in 2027.
After the corporate vacation, AvtoVAZ's conveyors will resume operation in normal mode.
