Suzuki is preparing one of the most significant updates to its model range in recent years. According to Japanese specialized publications, the company intends to introduce several new models by the end of 2027, including the next generation Hustler, Wagon R, Alto Lapin, as well as a revived Cappuccino roadster. Simultaneously, the brand will continue to develop its electric vehicle lineup.
The main focus will be on improving safety. Most new models are expected to receive modern driver assistance systems as standard. In addition, Suzuki will continue to implement its proprietary lightweight HEARTECT platform, which reduces vehicle weight, improves handling, and enhances fuel efficiency.
One of the most anticipated premieres will be the new generation Suzuki Hustler. The compact crossover kei car should receive a completely redesigned structure, modern design, and a new powertrain with a 48-volt Super Ene-Charge mild-hybrid system. In the future, the family may also be expanded with a fully electric version.
The debut of the new Wagon R is expected in autumn 2027. The car will retain its recognizable design but will feature a higher-quality interior, a multimedia system with a 9-inch screen, support for the Suzuki Connect service, and an expanded set of electronic assistants, including lane-keeping and oncoming traffic assistance systems.
Of particular interest is the possible return of the Suzuki Cappuccino. According to Car Repo, the compact rear-wheel-drive roadster may return almost 30 years after production ceased. Suzuki has not yet officially confirmed the model's release, so this information should be considered preliminary.
