Toyota Gazoo Racing continues to develop the new GR GT, which is considered the spiritual successor to the legendary Lexus LFA. The car will be released in 2027 in two versions: a standard road version and a more extreme track version. Moreover, it is the "charged" modification that has already been spotted undergoing tests at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track, where it is being compared with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

The base version is expected to receive a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine, a hybrid system, and an eight-speed automatic transaxle transmission. According to preliminary data, the powertrain will develop about 650 hp and 850 Nm, and the top speed will exceed 320 km/h.

The car's construction will extensively use aluminum and carbon fiber. The chassis is also made of aluminum, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 sports tires, designed for both public roads and race tracks, will be standard.

The track modification is of greatest interest. Toyota has not yet disclosed its technical specifications, but the prototype has already received an advanced aerodynamic package: a large rear wing with top mounts, an enlarged front splitter, side aerodynamic elements, and ventilated front fenders. Retuned suspension and stiffer chassis settings for maximum track efficiency are also expected.
