Cadillac F1 announced a change in team leadership. Marcin Budkowski replaced Graeme Lowdon, who had led the project since its formation in 2024 and brought Cadillac to its debut in the World Championship.

Cadillac calls the reshuffle a planned transition from the team-building phase to a full-fledged fight for results. The decision was made by CEO Dan Towriss: according to him, Lowdon's departure was not a mutual agreement.

Budkowski brings over 20 years of experience in Formula 1. He worked at Ferrari and McLaren, then held a technical position at the FIA, and from 2017–2022 was part of the Renault/Alpine management. The Pole's last major position was Executive Director of Alpine.

The choice of the new leader is directly related to the task of accelerating car development. After 11 races, Cadillac remains the only team in the championship that has not scored a single point. However, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas regularly finished races, and the team's problems are largely related to the car's pace and reliability.

For Budkowski, the main challenge will not be the debut itself, but the ability to quickly build an effective car modernization process. He has already stated that he intends to maximize the available budget and accelerate technical decision-making.

Budkowski will hold his first Grand Prix in his new role in the Netherlands. The Zandvoort stage will take place on August 23, after the championship's summer break.
