Li Auto founder and CEO Li Xiang compared the new generation of the Mega electric minivan to the first iPhone. In his opinion, the car should become as groundbreaking a product for the MPV segment as the first Apple smartphone was for the mobile phone market. Sales of the new product in China will start on September 2, 2026.

The main technical innovation is the all-wheel steering chassis. The new Mega received rear-wheel steering, steer-by-wire, and an active anti-roll bar. Li Auto expects this to significantly reduce the turning radius and make the five-meter minivan more maneuverable in the city.

Active suspension has become another important element of the project. The company believes that traditional large minivans often have to choose between passenger comfort and handling. The new Mega architecture should simultaneously reduce body roll and improve ride smoothness.

The car's dimensions have hardly changed. The length is 5355 mm, width is 1965 mm, height is 1850 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 3300 mm. The interior is designed for seven people in a 2+2+3 configuration.

Inside, Li Auto focused on a "living room on wheels" format. The second row received seats with the ability to swivel and an increased range of longitudinal adjustment, and a folding table is installed between the rows. Another notable detail is a long ceiling light that should evenly illuminate the rear of the cabin.

The powertrain is dual-motor, with all-wheel drive. The total power reaches 413 kW, or 553 hp, and the 108 kWh CATL battery provides up to 710 km according to the CLTC cycle. The intelligent driving system uses four lidars and two proprietary MACH M100 computing chips with a total performance of 2560 TOPS.
