The new generation Nissan Skyline will be officially unveiled in December 2026. The date was confirmed by Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa. The sedan will become one of the key models in the brand's renewal program and will receive the status of a so-called "Heartbeat" model – a car that should emphasize Nissan's character and engineering identity.

A distinctive feature of the project is the speed of development. According to Espinosa, the production car was fully developed in approximately 26 months. Nissan attributes this result to the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools that accelerate individual stages of design and engineering work.

For comparison, the previous generation Skyline was created in about 55 months. Thus, the new approach allowed almost halving the development cycle without abandoning a full-fledged production program.

Nissan has not yet disclosed the technical specifications of the new sedan. The company only emphasizes its sporty character, precise handling, and driver-oriented focus. Previously published teasers show a design with references to classic Skylines and characteristic taillight graphics.

Production of the new Skyline will be organized at Nissan's plant in Tochigi, Japan. For the brand itself, the project has another significance: in 2027, the Skyline name will celebrate its 70th anniversary.
