In eleven months of operation in the UK, Chinese Geely has signed cooperation agreements with 100 dealership locations. The milestone location was Evans Halshaw in Mansfield. According to the British Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), 5,155 new Geely cars were registered in the country in September 2026 – more than Honda and Mazda.

In September, Geely's share of the British new car market, where 350,536 vehicles were registered, was 1.47%. For comparison, Mazda's result reached 4,417 cars, Honda's – 4,149. A year earlier, Geely had no registrations in SMMT statistics: the EX5 electric crossover appeared in British car dealerships only at the end of October 2025.
According to SMMT data, from January to September 2026, 14,400 Geely vehicles were registered in the UK. This is more than Polestar and Leapmotor for the same period. The company itself reported that cumulative registrations for the first 11 months of market presence exceeded 10,000 vehicles. These figures relate to different periods and accounting sources.
Geely's British lineup began with the EX5 electric crossover. Later, the compact electric EX2 and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid were added. The expansion of the model range is accompanied by the development of the dealer network: the new site in Mansfield belongs to Evans Halshaw, part of the Lithia group. Together with it, Geely agreed on the appearance of new points in Glasgow and Newcastle.
In Germany, where Geely began sales in March 2026, 1,011 vehicles of the brand were registered in September. This is noticeably less than the British result, although the German new car market is only about a quarter smaller than the British one. However, the timing of market entry differs, so a direct comparison does not show demand under identical conditions.
