Elon Musk stated that owners of the new Tesla Roadster will be able to replicate the stunts shown during the car's presentation without directly controlling the vehicle. For testing, the company also plans to build a special track with loops at its headquarters in Texas.

Musk announced this on October 17 in response to a post by technology blogger Robert Scoble on the social network X. Scoble suggested that controlling the Roadster would come down to commands to onboard computers. The head of Tesla confirmed that the car would be able to perform the demonstrated maneuvers autonomously and promised a track that, in his words, would be more challenging than Hot Wheels attractions.
At the presentation of the new Roadster on October 15, Tesla demonstrated a prototype that ascended a curved ramp and ended up inverted. A system for creating downforce by means of a vacuum under the chassis is supposed to keep the car on the surface. The car then used low-thrust gas engines, developed with the participation of SpaceX, to perform the maneuver and return to its wheels.
However, it is not yet known when the track will open to visitors and when autonomous stunts will become available to owners. Musk also did not specify which versions of the Roadster would be able to perform such maneuvers and what restrictions would apply at the site.
