Motorists install xenon in their headlights, thinking that they improve the quality of light, but in fact this is not the case. Such headlights blind Oncoming cars, which enrages car owners, although such a technical solution still does not provide correct lighting, explained auto expert, Vice President of the National Automobile Union Yan Khaitseer.
How are they punished
He drew attention to the fact that drivers with "xenon" significantly threaten road safety.
Now for xenon they can issue a warning or issue a fine of 500 rubles, but such "tough" measures do not stop anyone.
Hit with the ruble
Khaitseer recalled that in case of blinding, there is a risk of simply flying off the road. The same goes for unpleasant flashing lights on the car.
Drivers are not just annoyed by this, but enraged. Speaking about the size of the proposed fine, we can cite as an example increasing fines for improper transportation of a child. As soon as the fines rose, all taxi drivers perked up and installed normal child seats, because this amount has already become quite impressive.
So why is it installed?
Khaitseer explained why Russian motorists install xenon in the headlights of their cars. According to him, there are many old cars in Russia and many offers of "cheap" Chinese tuning, within the framework of which you can insert xenon into ordinary headlights. However, it works incorrectly, with violations and blinds any oncoming driver.
Motorists install xenon themselves, thinking that they improve the quality of light, but in fact this is not the case. Brightness becomes more, but correct lighting does not occur. If we had more traffic police officers on the roads, they would catch it.
Earlier it became known that a bill has already been submitted to the State Duma to increase the amount of administrative punishment. Now the fine is 500 rubles, and lawmakers proposed to set a penalty of 5,000 rubles.
