Every motorist occasionally has to wipe the windshield from the inside. For this, they usually use an ordinary cloth, wet wipes, or special glass cleaning products. But the main problem appears after the cleaning itself: even on a seemingly clean surface, streaks and marks can remain, which are especially visible in the evening when the headlights of other cars shine towards you.

There is a simple way to get rid of such marks. It does not require a complex set of tools or special equipment: it is enough to prepare an alcohol solution, pour it into a spray bottle, and spend a few minutes cleaning.

What you need to prepare

The kit for such treatment is minimal. Only a few things are needed:

• a spray bottle;
• a small amount of alcohol;
• a little water for dilution;
• a clean cloth;
• about three minutes of free time.

Alcohol with a small amount of water is mixed directly in the spray bottle. The resulting mixture can be kept in the car at all times and used when it is necessary to quickly tidy up the windshield.

Instead of alcohol, you can use vodka if desired. However, in this case, preference is given to alcohol, which is mixed with a small amount of water. The resulting "cocktail" remains in the spray bottle, and along with it, a clean cloth is enough to keep in the car.

What to do about the smell

When spraying the alcohol solution, the smell is quite noticeable. Some drivers may not like this, so a fragrance — for example, pine or floral — is sometimes added to the solution.

However, separate aromatization is not necessary here. The smell of the alcohol itself usually disappears within a few minutes after the treatment is completed.

Sometimes jokes arise about this, claiming that such a procedure could allegedly attract the attention of traffic police officers. However, after cleaning, the smell dissipates quite quickly, and this result is confirmed by many years of experience using this method.

The process itself takes very little time. It is enough to carefully spray the solution and wipe the surface with a clean cloth. The treated area becomes clean almost immediately.

The main test is in the evening

During the day, the result cannot always be objectively assessed. The real test of windshield cleanliness begins at dusk, when the surface is illuminated by the headlights of oncoming cars.

It is at this moment that the smallest spots, streaks, and marks, which are almost invisible during the day, become especially noticeable. After treatment with the alcohol solution, according to the method described, no such spots remain on the glass.

As a result, the surface remains perfectly clean, and a clear view through the windshield is maintained even at dusk. The entire kit takes up minimal space, the procedure itself takes about three minutes, and the alcohol solution can be kept in the car at all times for repeated treatment.
