The localization rate of the new Lada Iskra car is 90%. This was announced by the President of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
According to him, since the summer of 2022, the platform of the new sedan has undergone a large-scale reengineering. More than 1000 parts and components were recreated.
Today, the Iskra platform and the car itself are more than 90% localized in terms of the range of components used in production.
The development of the Lada Iskra family models began jointly with Renault in 2022. AvtoVAZ received the platform from foreign partners, and after the company left the Russian market, work began on reengineering.
Sales of Lada Iskra should begin on July 20, but Moscow car dealers have already received the first cars. The new sedan in the basic Comfort configuration will cost from 1.25 million rubles. The most expensive Techno configuration is from 1.58 million rubles.
