During an on-site inspection of car services by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the project of blogger AcademeG - Bentley Ultratank - was found in one of them. Judging by its appearance, the all-terrain vehicle has been gathering dust for a long time.
In 2020, the all-terrain vehicle entered the Russian Book of Records, setting a new speed record on Lake Baikal of 125.7 km/h in a mile (1.6 km) race. The project has been modernized and improved more than once, but eventually it was forgotten in the parking lot of a car service.
Initially, the cheapest Bentley Continental GT that could be found was purchased for the project - with a non-working gearbox and requiring turbine replacement. Subsequently, through numerous engineering studies, the car was placed on a tracked chassis and turned into a "luxury all-terrain vehicle."
The project received a completely custom suspension, a Toyota UZ V8 engine, and a transfer case from the GAZ-66 "Shishiga". The tracks for the all-terrain vehicle were custom-made in Kursk.
