Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has received a new Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the UAZ "Hunter" model, known as the direct successor to the UAZ-469.
In recent years, the SUV has been produced under the index UAZ-2924 and is classified as a category N1G truck. This allows it to bypass some requirements for passenger cars, preserving the model's production.
The document provides for different versions: with a swing-out tailgate or a folding side. Additional options are also indicated, including an expeditionary roof rack, power bumpers with towing loops, an electric winch, and a "bull bar" for protection against damage. These elements are certified and included in the documents.
The new OTTS refutes rumors about the "Hunter" being discontinued.
