Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has received a new Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the UAZ "Hunter" model, known as the direct successor to the UAZ-469.
In recent years, the SUV has been produced under the index UAZ-2924 and is classified as a category N1G грузовой автомобиль (грузовик). This allows bypassing some requirements for passenger cars, preserving the model's production.
The document provides for different versions: with a swing-out tailgate or a folding side. Additional options are also indicated, including an expeditionary roof rack, силовые бамперы (power bumpers) with буксировочные петли (towing loops), an electric winch, and a "кенгурин" (bull bar) for protection against damage. These elements are certified and included in the documents.
The new OTTS refutes rumors about discontinuing the "Hunter".
