The ChZSA LLC (Cheboksary Plant of Power Aggregates) will produce a pilot batch of drive axles for Russian ELAZ backhoe loaders of 4 different modifications according to the documentation of ARM LLC (A Priori Machine Solutions). The tests of the samples will be held on the products of ElAZ JSC (Yelabuga Automobile Plant) in early 2026.
The new axles were created from scratch, taking into account all the needs of localization and the peculiarities of operating conditions. The agreement between ChZSA and ElAZ for the supply of products worth 2.5 billion rubles was signed in 2024 within the framework of the "Innoprom" exhibition. According to the agreement, the project should be implemented within 5 years (2026 - 2030) with the help of state support and other machine-building enterprises of Chuvashia.
During the year, within the framework of the project, systematic tripartite work was carried out between the customer (ElAZ JSC), the engineering company ARM LLC and the production enterprise ChZSA LLC, which resulted in the successful completion of the tasks outlined in last year's agreement. The designs of the drive axles as the main components for the road construction equipment of the Yelabuga Automobile Plant were initially adapted by the developers to the production technologies available to domestic enterprises for the serial production of products
In Cheboksary, work has already begun on the technical documentation and production facilities necessary for the production of a pilot batch of products. Serial production will begin after testing and debugging of logistics chains. In total, it is planned to supply more than 4,300 axles to Tatarstan in 5 years, which will greatly increase the level of localization of the final product.
This project is a good example of how Russian enterprises, by combining competencies, can create modern and competitive production solutions, completely eliminating dependence on imported components. We are determined to bring the project to series and thereby provide Russian manufacturers of special equipment with high-tech and reliable components
According to the director of the ChZSA plant, the joint project of the three companies will not only help strengthen cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, but will also become an important link for the formation of a chain of continuous supplies of the necessary components for domestic equipment.
