The Belarusian brand Belgee and Japanese Toyota are demonstrating significant sales growth in Russia, while Lada's positions are weakening. From August 18 to 24, Belgee sold 1,856 vehicles, which is 143% more than last year, and Toyota increased sales by 97%, reaching 603 units. These figures underscore the growing popularity of foreign brands, especially Belgee, which has secured a place in the top 5 for the first time.
Lada remains the sales leader, but only 6,147 vehicles were sold last week, which is 21% less than a year ago. Haval is in second place with 3,730 units, followed by Chery with 2,414 cars, and Geely is in fourth place with 1,951 vehicles. Belgee confidently holds the fifth position, ahead of many competitors and demonstrating stable demand. The top 10 also included Changan (1,432), Jetour (964), Hyundai Solaris (823), Omoda (682), and Toyota (603), while the remaining brands did not reach the 600 sales mark.
Analysts note the positive dynamics of almost all top 10 brands, except for Toyota, with a weekly increase of more than 10% for Haval, Jetour, Belgee, and Solaris. In the 34th week of the year, 27,200 new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 6% higher than the result of the previous week, but 13% lower than the figures for the same period last year.
