Beijing Hyundai Motor has announced the recall of 3,469 Hyundai Custo vehicles manufactured in 2025. The campaign, coordinated with the Chinese authorities, will begin on September 5 and will affect cars manufactured from May 11 to June 24, 2025. The problem is related to a brake system defect that could threaten the safety of drivers and passengers.
The reason for the recall is insufficient tightening torque of the rear brake line tube due to a failure in the production process. This can reduce braking efficiency, creating a risk of accidents. The problem was discovered during quality control, which led to the decision to recall.
Hyundai Custo owners are offered to replace the brake line tubes free of charge at dealerships. The company emphasizes the importance of timely treatment to eliminate the defect in order to ensure road safety. Owners are encouraged not to wait for an official notification, but to sign up for service on their own.
