The average cost of used BMW X5 crossovers in Russia has decreased by 11% since the beginning of 2025. If in January the 2022 model was estimated at 9.6 million rubles, then by August the price fell to 8.5 million rubles, which is 1.1 million rubles cheaper. This reduction makes the premium crossover more affordable on the secondary market.
Older BMW X5 models have also become cheaper. For example, a 2012 car can now be purchased for an average of 2.25 million rubles, which is 7% less than the January price of 2.4 million rubles. This reflects the general trend of decreasing prices for used European car brands in Russia, caused by an oversupply and a decrease in purchasing power.
Among popular crossovers in the secondary market, the BMW X5 stands out with the largest loss in value. Over 10 years, the car retains only 24% of its original price, which makes it less profitable for long-term ownership compared to other models. Nevertheless, lower prices may attract buyers looking for a premium crossover at a more affordable cost.
