The new Hyundai Palisade has started pre-sales at the Chengdu Auto Show, presented in three trim levels priced from $41,500 to $51,400. The SUV received an updated exterior and interior design, improved equipment and a new power plant. The model is positioned as one of the most economical imported cars on the Chinese market thanks to a combination of advanced technology and practicality.
The new generation Palisade has become larger: length 5060 mm, width 1980 mm, wheelbase 2970 mm, which provides a spacious interior for family trips. The car is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with hybrid technology, surpassing competitors such as Toyota and Ford in power and torque. Performance has increased by 30% compared to the previous model, making the SUV a leader in its class.
Hyundai Motor China Vice President of Sales Yin Yongi noted that Chinese buyers are becoming more demanding, appreciating not only comfort, but also the key characteristics of an SUV: capacity, power and cross-country ability.
The company does not set specific sales targets, but expects success due to the variety of requests from 20 million annual car buyers in China.
