The Romanian company Romturingia has turned the Dacia Duster into a serial four-door pickup truck. The model, created on the basis of a popular SUV, received a cargo platform, while maintaining the main characteristics of the original. The car is already available for order in Romania at a price of 26 thousand euros excluding VAT.
To transform into a pickup truck, the Duster had its roof removed behind the rear pillars, and the luggage compartment was replaced with a 100×100 cm cargo platform with a carrying capacity of 430 kg. The platform is separated from the passenger compartment by a partition with a transparent insert, and the dimensions and rear lighting equipment remained unchanged, which made it possible to preserve the recognizable appearance of the model.
The pickup is offered in three trim levels: Expression, Extreme and Journey. Two power plants are available: a mild hybrid based on a 1.2-liter engine with a capacity of 130 hp with all-wheel drive and a self-charging hybrid based on a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 140 hp with front-wheel drive. The car complies with the N1 standard for commercial vehicles.
