A family taxi service with a fixed fare, independent of weather, internet availability, and demand, is planned to be created in Saransk by the end of 2025, according to the press service of the Head of Mordovia.
The first batch of "Moskvich" cars on the line will be about 40 units; they will be suitable, for example, for transporting luggage or a baby stroller.
A fundamentally important point is that a fixed fare will be established, and it will remain regardless of the availability or absence of the internet, weather conditions, or increased demand for taxis.
The head of the region, Artem Zdunov, noted that there was a request in the republic to create a carrier for our families so that a large family with three or four children could easily move around the city on their business.
The presence of the service will not create additional expenses for the city budget. Vehicle maintenance will be carried out at the municipal enterprise. Driver recruitment is already underway.
