A new edition of the spare parts price guides, on the basis of which OSAGO compensations are calculated, came into force in Russia on September 19, the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RSA) said.
Compared to the previous edition, the cost of spare parts remained almost unchanged (an increase of 0.2%). The RSA noted that fluctuations in prices for spare parts for cars of various brands vary significantly.
Spare parts for Peugeot (+8.1%) and Citroen (+6.2%) cars rose in price the most. A moderate increase was recorded for the Hyundai (+3.4%) and Kia (+3.1%) brands.
If Nissan spare parts became more expensive last quarter, now a decrease in prices of 6.7% has been recorded. But in the case of Ford, the situation is the opposite — an increase of 1.5%.
At the same time, the average prices for spare parts for Chinese-made cars continue to decline — Geely (–11.3%), Haval (–4.3%) and Omoda (–4.2%).
Insurers pointed out that the average prices for spare parts included in the guide are more often formed precisely at the prices of non-original spare parts, which indicates a tendency towards an increase in the supply of such parts on the market. Non-original cheap spare parts of knowingly low quality are not taken into account when forming the directories.
