A new modification of the "Valdai 12" truck has been developed in Russia. The special equipment was built on a chassis with an extra-long wheelbase with a Euro platform, allowing loading of 20 standard Euro pallets.
The company "Modern Transport Technologies" (STT) noted that the Euro platform has dimensions of 8.4×2.48×2.7 m.
The superstructure is equipped with a sliding roof with side curtains, which speed up loading and unloading processes. The sides are made of aluminum with a height of 600 mm, the cargo is protected during operation by rubber bumpers and a seal along the entire length. The flooring is made of moisture-resistant laminated plywood with a thickness of 21 mm and is equipped with 14 lashing rings.
The "Valdai 12" weighs 12 tons and is equipped with a diesel engine YaMZ-53445, developing 170 hp (662 Nm). It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an overdrive top gear.
