The idea of introducing toll roads on all roads in the country is not being discussed or considered by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, said Nikolai Shestakov, an official representative of the department.

According to him, such a proposal was made by a separate speaker during an expert discussion.

The Ministry of Transport of Russia is not discussing or considering the idea of introducing toll roads on all roads in the country. The Ministry does not support this initiative.

The Ministry of Transport is preparing a bill where, at the federal level, a mechanism will be described for the first time for owners of cars to obtain resident permits for free parking near their homes.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Sergei Mironov proposed replacing the transport tax with a new fee, which is calculated based on the intensity of vehicle use.
