Road accident rate decreased in Russia

The number of deaths in road accidents and the number of road accidents in Russia have decreased by 9%. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, road transport increased by 36%, and population mobility increased from 30 to 100% in certain areas.

I want to note one very important point - despite the fact that in the last five years, motorization, the number of cars, has increased by 9%, the number of accidents and deaths has decreased by 9%.

Khusnullin recalled that in 2025 the road construction program in the Russian Federation was overfulfilled. The road repair schedule is scheduled for six years in advance.
