Two Flagship Crossovers from Geely May Interfere with Each Other: How Lynk & Co 900 and Zeekr 9X Compete

Both cars use air suspension, but the Zeekr 9X has an active stabilizer that increases stability in corners

In 2025, three large crossovers from Geely were launched on the Chinese market at once: Geely Galaxy M9, Lynk & Co 900, and Zeekr 9X. While the first became a more affordable offer, the latter two clearly found themselves in direct competition.

The Galaxy M9 is offered in the range from 183,800 to 248,800 yuan (approximately $25,800–39,950). The base version is equipped with front-wheel drive and an 18.4 kWh battery, the top version has all-wheel drive, a 41.5 kWh battery, and a power of up to 858 hp. In terms of equipment, it does not reach the Lynk & Co 900 and Zeekr 9X, but competes with models like Leapmotor C16 and Deepal S09.

The focus is on the Lynk & Co 900 and Zeekr 9X. The first SUV was released in the spring and has already sold almost 28,000 units. It is equipped with units with a capacity of 711 to 872 hp, has a six-seater interior with seat massage, rotating second-row seats, a G-Pilot H7 system, and a range of up to 1443 km. The Zeekr 9X offers a more powerful version — up to 1381 hp, acceleration in 3.1 seconds, and premium equipment with 32 Naim speakers and rich trim. However, some of Lynk & Co's multimedia solutions look more advanced: for example, a 95-inch ceiling screen versus 17 for Zeekr.

Both cars use air suspension, but the Zeekr 9X has an active stabilizer that increases stability in corners. At the same time, the prices of the models partially overlap, which may lead to cannibalization of demand.

Although the Zeekr 9X collected 10,000 orders in 13 minutes, and the Lynk & Co 900 achieved the same result in an hour, in the long term, competition between them may develop into a struggle for the same buyer.
