Kia Sportage prices drop in Russia

Prices for the Kia Sportage crossover have been revised in Russia. It is one of the most popular family models that disappeared from official sales a few years ago. Now the car can be purchased through parallel imports at a price of 2.3 million rubles. Until the authorities introduce a new procedure for calculating the recycling fee, this allows cars to be imported at the same, more favorable rates.

The basic version of the Sportage for 2.3 million rubles is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 200 hp, an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The equipment is impressive: a digital instrument panel and multimedia with two large screens, a leather multi-steering wheel, a rear-view camera, climate control, a panoramic roof and keyless entry with an engine start button.

For comparison: similar-sized and equipped "Chinese" cars cost significantly more: Jaecoo J7 starts from 2.9 million rubles, Jetour Dashing from 2.49 million, and Geely Atlas from 3.7 million. Even taking into account the possible preferential recycling fee, the Sportage looks like a more profitable offer.

In addition, there are versions with other engines on sale: a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 236 hp is estimated at a minimum of 2.48 million rubles, a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 180 hp with all-wheel drive at 2.8 million, and an atmospheric engine with 150 hp from 2.95 million rubles.

New fifth-generation Sportages are available in many cities - from Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg to Moscow and St. Petersburg. There are already hundreds of offers on the market.
