The model was first shown in April at the Shanghai Auto Show. The concept featured a brutal, square body, round headlights, and a massive black radiator grille. The design incorporates motifs of sunmao — a traditional Chinese woodworking technique symbolizing the strength and precision of the structure.

The SUV is equipped with large wheel arches, off-road tires, a roof rack, and lidar for advanced driver assistance systems.

The model is built on a robust body-on-frame platform with three locking differentials. The four-motor electric system develops up to 1850 N·m of torque and provides acceleration to 100 km/h in approximately 4 seconds.

This is Hongqi's first-ever SUV created from the ground up, and it will be a key step for the brand in the premium electric SUV segment.

The author of the name chosen for the model will be awarded the first copy with the number 001. Details about the interior and price will be revealed closer to the premiere.
