Toyota Veloz compact vans with three rows of seats have started selling in Vladivostok and other Russian cities for a price of 2.9 million rubles, Avtonovosti Dnya found out. Thus, the novelty becomes the most affordable alternative to the popular seven-seater models Geely and Chery. For comparison, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max sells for a minimum of 3.04 million rubles, the 2024 Geely Okavango starts at 3.64 million, and the Jetour X90 Plus in a seven-seater version is estimated at almost 3.97 million rubles.
The basic GX configuration offers a leather multi-steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, a media system with Apple CarPlay, single-zone climate control, an electronic parking brake, keyless access and engine start with a button. Richer versions with multimedia, LED headlights, cameras and wireless charging cost from 3.1 to 3.5 million rubles, depending on the region.
All Veloz models are equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 106 hp, a variator and front-wheel drive, the average fuel consumption is 5-7 l/100 km. Veloz is a "luxury" version of the Toyota Avanza: it is longer (4475 mm), with larger wheels, a more aggressive appearance and an improved interior.
