Sollers has commenced mass production of the new Sollers SP7 business van at its plant in Yelabuga, with the model's sales expected to begin in the coming days.
The SP7 is positioned as a premium transport for business clients. The interior features two separate, highly comfortable second-row seats, emphasizing its focus on the corporate segment. In the future, Sollers plans to release a more affordable modification with a three-seater sofa, making the car attractive to family buyers as well.
The project features a high level of localization: the company has already mastered the welding and painting processes for the bodies. However, due to its niche positioning, experts doubt whether the company will be able to ensure a return on such investments. According to estimates, the real sales volume may be around a thousand cars per year - provided that the SP7 can compete on price.
Nevertheless, Sollers is betting on the business version - it will be the first to hit the market, while the mass-market "family" modification will appear later.
As a reminder, the car's dimensions are 5212 x 1895 x 1830 mm. Under the hood is a 2-liter turbo engine with 237 hp, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
