Volkswagen T-Cross can be bought in Russia inexpensively

Sales of the new compact crossover Volkswagen T-Cross of Chinese assembly have begun in Russia. The car, produced at the SAIC-Volkswagen plant, is offered by private companies at a price of 2.015 million rubles - this is cheaper than Chery Tiggo 4, Geely Coolray and Belgee X50.

The basic version of the T-Cross Fashion is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 110 hp and a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, a rear-view camera, multimedia with an 8-inch screen and support for Apple CarPlay.

In the regions, versions with a 1.4-liter TSI turbo engine with 150 hp and a DSG "robot" for 2.2 million rubles are also offered. This configuration includes a leather multi-steering wheel, climate control and bright interior accents.

The Volkswagen T-Cross is built on the MQB A0 platform, familiar from the Polo and Rapid models. The crossover has front-wheel drive, a length of 4.2 m and accelerates to 100 km/h in 13.3 seconds.
