Premium cars production launched in Russia

The production of high-end cars has started in Russia, according to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov in an interview with RIA Novosti. According to him, this was achieved through government support measures, including fine-tuning the recycling fee mechanism.

Gradually, offers are appearing in the higher segment as well: for example, the localization of Voyah serial hybrid production in the Lipetsk region, and the assembly of Exeed crossovers in the Moscow region. The recycling fee, which is paid by manufacturers and importers for each vehicle, is compensated to domestic enterprises depending on the level of localization. According to the official, this system stimulates production development, allows launching the production of modern models, and strengthens Russia's position in the premium car market.
